LINDY HOP
The lessons
There are 4 levels of 6 hours of lesson each and an additional level for “very beginners” (dancers who have approached Lindy in recent times) who will have 4 hours lessons with the international festival couples to learn the basic steps.
Auditions for the intermediate-advanced and advanced levels are mandatory and will be held on Saturday morning from 9.15 to 10.15

LEVELS
Very Beginners
No auditions – (4 hours of lessons)
Have you started dancing Lindy Hop very recently and do not want to miss the opportunity to be part of a festival with international artists? This is the level for you!
Intermediates
No auditions – (6 hours of lessons)
You have been dancing for at least a year and you attend classes and night parties regularly. You are at easy with 6 and 8 count Swing out, Inside and Outside turn, Lindy Circle, Texas Tommy, Touch turn, Charleston basic, Tandem, Hand to hand. You can lead/follow clearly.
Advanced
Auditions mandatory – Saturday morning 9.15 – 10.15 – (6 hours of lessons)
You have been dancing for around three years and you regularly attend classes and night parties, as well as international workshops and festivals. You know the moves and counts of the previous levels. You have no problems improvising and handling really fast music.
Improvers
No auditions – (6 hours of lessons)
You have been dancing for around 6 months and you are familiar with 6 and 8 counts, Swing out, Inside and Outside turn, Lindy Circle, Touch Turn, Change of place, Charleston basic. You try them on the dance floor and most of the times they work.
Int./Advanced
Auditions mandatory – Saturday morning 9.15 – 10.15 – (6 hours of lessons)
You have been dancing for around some years and you attend classes and night parties regularly. You know the moves and counts of the previous levels. Sometimes you improvise on the rhythm of the music and you can handle medium-fast music fairly well.
PLEASE NOTE THAT
A festival is an occasion to have fun but also to learn. Be aware and respectful of your dancing skills: to make the most of the lessons and do not put your classmates in difficulty, choose the right level!
The auditions before the workshop are used to give a fair assessment of your actual dancing skills.
In addition, we STRONGLY recommend you to subscribe “IN COUPLE”, in order to keep the leader / follower balance in the classes as homogeneous as possible.

Regulation
In order to make classes as enjoyable as possible, please be reminded of the following:
- don’t be late and if you do enter very quietly;
- completely silence your mobile phone;
- leave the classroom always clean;
- enter classrooms with appropriate shoes – no outdoor shoes;
- bring water and some snacks in order not to lose strength.
